The Drexel Players

The Drexel Players are a student-run organization that works in conjunction with Drexel University's Performing Arts Department to produce quality theatre and provide service for the community.

The Players produce three mainstage shows each year: a musical, a play, and a professional show as part of the Mandell Professionals in Residence Project. Students participate in all aspects of theatre performance and production including: acting, directing, design, costumes, lighting, sets, sound, publicity, and box office. Auditions occur in the spring and the beginning of each fall term for incoming students.

The Mandell Professionals in Residence Project, which is supported in part by a grant from the Samuel P. Mandell Foundation is an ongoing collaboration with the professional theatre and dance communities of Philadelphia and Drexel University.

Members of the Drexel University community will be enriched by the high quality of dance and theatrical productions being offered through MPiRP in the Mandell Theater. In addition to receiving discounted tickets for MPiRP performance events, students will benefit from workshops and opportunities to gain hands on experience with established professionals. Learn more
